      <title>2026 SUMMER: Ecology for Teachers - Online Endorsement Course (20 May 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;p data-start="3395" data-end="3550" style="line-height: 16px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 14px;"&gt;This course is an introduction to ecological principles, with an emphasis on living organisms and their interactions with each other and their environment.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p data-start="3552" data-end="3774" style="line-height: 16px;"&gt;&lt;font style="font-size: 14px;"&gt;Participants will explore how to incorporate &lt;em data-start="3597" data-end="3637"&gt;A Framework for K–12 Science Education&lt;/em&gt;, including science and engineering practices and crosscutting concepts, into the classroom using the disciplinary core ideas of ecology.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

Lesson plan development is a required component, with a continued emphasis on effective instructional practices. The estimated time commitment is 6 to 8 hours per week.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

      <title>2026 FALL: Lab Safety Certification Online Course (24 Sep 2026)</title>
      <description>&lt;h2&gt;Course Description&lt;/h2&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This course fulfills the &lt;span style=""&gt;laboratory safety certification requirement&lt;/span&gt; for all Utah secondary science endorsements. Participants will explore laboratory safety practices, risk management, chemical handling and storage, emergency procedures, and strategies for creating safe and effective learning environments.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This college-level course prepares science teachers to implement current safety standards and best practices in secondary science classrooms and laboratories.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Time Commitment:&lt;/strong&gt; Approximately &lt;strong&gt;3–5 hours per week&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;
